Aloha! Ria's 7th Birthday

Ria my bestfriend's daughter wanted a swimming party for her 7th birthday. We started planning the party just a month ago and we were so thrilled that it all went really well. It took me a day to do all the elements for the dessert table, Louie pre-ordered the cake, sugar cookies and cake pops.

the paper mache letters were made by Ate Eloi and Kuya Nat

Ahoy! Summer's 1st Birthday

This is a very late post but I wanted to show you guys the Nautical party I made for my one and only baby girl. Pinterest was my inspiration and a whole lot of other creative people in the cyber world.

January 26, 2013 the day we celebrated Summer's first birthday. It was a day that we will never forget, my whole family helped out from conceptualizing until set up. Gen and Nina were the hosts and they made it extra fun. I decided on the theme when Summer was just a few months old when I bought her a sailor dress. It was really hard to look for nautical themed decorations but since my Mommy Gigi would always go to Divisoria she was able to get some really nice props for the party.

the backdrop was printed by TJ, we purposely didn't put 1st birthday so we can use it again for her next birthdays.

I made a monthly picture of Summer, took every 30th of the month and hanged it as a backdrop for the presents

this was the photobooth, we wanted a different take so we decided to have the effect that the guests are riding the boat.

Clowning around

Just to give you a background every year our family comes up with different themes for Christmas, we first had Happy HoliDenims in 2010, Hippie Holidays in 2011. And for 2012 we didn't plan for any theme until the day before Christmas. I dreamed about the theme and just asked everyone to dress in something colorful and all the props will be on me. The theme was Children's party.

All the decorations were bought from a nearby bookstore, the rest a stuff in our home.

The backdrop that worked very well with the theme was a blanket as well as the tablecloth. And the cutest props of all is Summer.

What was your theme last Christmas?
